Top-Loaders
A Top-Loader is the traditional style washer in the USA & Canada. This washer contains a central propeller-like agitator, that works your clothes through the water during the wash & rinse cycles. After this the tub revolves to the spin-dry cycle. There are a variety of models to choose from. These units are easy to load and use.

Front-Loaders
These units are not new. They have been used throughout Laundromats across the world for years. Unlike the top-loader, there is no agitator. This unit has a tub that revolves around a horizontal axis, much like a dryer. These units clean your clothes by tumbling the clothes, and are energy and water efficient. They have room for more clothes than the top-loaders. The fast spin on these units removes more water than the top-loaders.

Laundry washed in hard water takes on a gray color and wears out faster than expected. With hard water in your washing machine, it's almost impossible to wash clothes white - even when you use large amounts of detergent and bleach Minerals and insoluble particles in hard water trap dirt and soap curd in the fabric of your clothes and linens. These deposits give fabric a dull gray "washed-out" look and cause the clothing fibers to be brittle. Your clothes and linens then feel harsh and rough - they deteriorate faster.
